Do you dance?

I turned around to face the young man who has just tapped on my shoulder - a very cute, yet very sad smile on his face, curly blond hair and a blue shirt matching the color of his eyes. I let him come closer. In an embrace he put his arms around my waist and shoulder and said: “How would you prefer to die, shoot yourself in the head, slit your veins open or slowly walk into the sea and drown?” I almost laughed at him, but bit my lip “…. I think I’d prefer to die after making love, just fall into a blissful sleep and never wake up” “Oh yes, that would of course be a nice way to leave this deceitful world”, I was rather taken aback by this very melodramatic statement, which secretly made me smile, but I was intrigued.

“Have we met before? I seem to know you?” “No, I don’t think so,” I replied. “Strange, you seem familiar, like I’ve always known you”. He really made me feel awkward in a mysterious way. “Yes, I can feel this too”. He squeezed me, putting his nose in my hair and in my neck. “You smell divine, it is almost intoxicating! Mmmhhhmmm!”

A few more dances, no words spoken, I felt like I could stay there forever, my heart just pounding, “Let’s go to my place, and… I have a surprise for you. I think you’ll like it”. Well, yes, I have been dancing with this sexy sad young man, attracted like a magnet to him… now I was curious to see where the night would lead us. We left the party. I hopped behind him on his motorbike and hugged his tight nervous body. I enjoyed the closeness as the streets raced by in a blur. It was mid-summer. We were reaching the river, the silvery full moon was dancing in the water, and he suddenly slowed down, turned onto the riverbank, and stopped near a wall. We took off our helmets. He got a key out of his pocket. “This is my surprise for you”. He took my hand, leading me towards the fortified bridge that was brightly lit by a line of spots running along its sides. The bridge was built in the 17th century as a defense against invaders coming through the river. We arrived at the door, which opened in a crackle and a grinding noise. It is pitch dark inside. He found and lit a torchlight, and let me in.
