He knew well enough she had been waiting for him. He knew she was hurt. Today, he was rushing to meet her, because he was aching for the touch of her warm skin as he would breathe her in. He would feel her heart beat through his shirt, which was all he wanted. The only thought of it made his senses reel. He was in a hurry, he was hoping she would be sitting in that armchair, wearing that tight dark lace on her pale satin skin, the image of which made his heart leap. Would she smile at him? Would she look surprised? He was climbing this endless stone stairway, the echo of his footsteps in his ears. His hand tore at his tie, in his mind he saw her body writhing with anticipation, ready to quench his insatiable lust for her, his hand was on the door knob, ready to enter into her world...
